Resources for Our Coaches

Let's Make Sure We Are the Best We Can be for the Kids

Mandatory Concussion Training for All Coaches

Concussions are serious business, and awareness is key.  Our mantra is consistent with many youth organizations across the Country - "When in doubt, sit him out".

All Coaches are required to take this on-line course before the 1st day of practice and provide a copy of their Certification to their Division Coordinator.  In addition, we hope to offer supplementary training and education on the topic.

Coaches' Training Schedule

Let's Be The Best We Can be for the Kids

Rich Moran loves kids and loves baseball.  What he will teach the coaches is not new, but it represents the foundation upon which we are building our program to ensure the kids learn the correct techniques right from the beginning.  In the preseason and during the season, all coaches will be building their overall approach on this foundation.

It is up to each Coach to buy-in and do what their time availability allows..

We also will be putting together a summary of drills that coaches have found helpful throughout the years with a special focus on all of Coach Paul O'Malley's drills.  Our goal is to share our knowledge with each other for the benefit of every coach, and of course for the ultimate benefit of every young person participating in the program.  Please note - this is not an all work and no play approach to our league.  We will incorporate well honed techniques to keep it all fun for the kids!
